| As the first quarter of 2018 comes to a close, Thread Group continues to build fantastic momentum for adoption and engagement. Thread is Here And Now and there is no reason to wait! With a broad selection of certified silicon, and stacks, some open-sourced and supporting larger platforms available, and with dotdot and OCF, there are application layers and schema available to design and ship Thread based solutions today. |

Light + Building 2018
Our team just returned from Light + Building in Frankfurt, Germany, one of the world's largest trade shows and the biggest in the commercial building space. At L + B, the Thread Group advanced our relationship with and expansion into the commercial market, leveraging our existing partnerships with KNX and the Fairhair Alliance.
The Thread Group had prominent booth space in the KNX IoT City pavillion and in the BACnet booth. Co-branded signage was displayed across the entire L + B exhibition generating great awareness for Thread!
In the KNX IoT City pavillion, our team had the opportunity to share with commercial installers, product developers, and buyers about the coming wave of Thread technology integration and products for both KNX and BACnet. In particular, the KNX community learned how Thread technology can serve to extend classic KNX installations with an IPv6 network, allowing constrained devices to exchange KNX standardized data on the Thread wireless mesh network, behind a Thread border router making the connection to the KNX classic world. The messaging and opportunity was well-received by the KNX community with live demos and end products underscoring the Here And Now reality of Thread and cultivating interest in availability of Thread + KNX solutions.
Pepcom @ CES 2018
Back in January, The Thread Group was among those taking a different approach to CES this year, opting for a focused yet wider presence off the Sands show floor.
One such presence was at Pepcom where Vice President of Marketing, Sujata Neidig, Gaby Asmus of Finn Partners, and myself showcased end products from:
Previously unseen, Legrand's Radiant OCF-based lighting control solution generated particular interest among press, media, and analysts.
CES 2018
While there was not a dedicated Thread Group pavilion at the Sands, Thread was represented throughout CES in member companies booths and in the meeting suites of our liaison partners. Through collaboration with the Zigbee Alliance, at this year's CES, six joint member companies demonstrated Dotdot running over Thread (components, products, and solutions) in the Zigbee suite and are working on making these demos market-ready:

- Volansys
- Yale
We are thrilled to see Thread + dotdot ready for the hands of eager customers!
We will continue to see the uptake of Thread technology into products and solutions across many verticals. This forward motion is strengthening the market adoption of Thread, moving both into the commercial and enterprise markets. There are numerous markets, environments, use cases, apps, devices ... one network, no hubs - One Thread. As the market continues to build momentum with Thread adoption, we continue to move through 2018 with eager excitement.
