| PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE |

| Happy New Year! 2015 was our first full year in operation, and it has been a fantastic 12 months. We've grown from ~80 members to over 230 now, garnered a ton of great press, released the 1.0 specification, started our certification program and initiated a number of fruitful liaisons and partnerships. |

On the subject of partnerships, ZigBee recently announced that they plan to support our Thread networking protocol with their ZigBee 3.0 Application Libraries and Thread will work with them on joint certification and branding. This is the first of many application layer partnerships, and we'll be presenting more details at our next member meeting.
Thread has had a strong start to 2016. We had a very successful CES, with heavy booth traffic, and lots of press coverage. A big thank you to all the staff and members who worked hard to deliver the CES presence and demos.
I look forward to working with you all to make 2016 even more successful than 2015.

| Q4 AND JANUARY HIGHLIGHTS |

- Thread Group hosted its first booth at CES 2016. We saw significant foot traffic and attendees were highly engaged in the demos. In addition Thread further built its credibility in IoT by participating in three high-level speaking engagements: two official CES panel discussions (Defining the Internet of Things and Mobile and Its Adjacent Categories), and third panel at the CONNECTIONS Summit (Ease of Use, Interoperability, and Mass-Market Adoption.
- As a result of the Q4 and CES-related PR outreach, more than 180 news articles featured Thread. See highlights on the Thread website under "In the News".
- To begin building Thread Group visibility globally, we hosted our first All Members Meeting in Europe (Evian, France), with more than 100 attendees. In 2016, you will see continued efforts to build our international presence.
- In January, Thread Group selected Rapport Network as the winner of the Innovation Enabler Program.

| ZIGBEE ALLIANCE LIAISONS WITH THREAD GROUP ON IoT SOLUTION |
The ZigBee Alliance is working with the Thread Group on an end-to-end solution for IP-based IoT networks. The solution will become part of the ZigBee Alliance's comprehensive set of product development specifications, technologies, branding and complete test and certification program. This solution will expand the reach of the ZigBee Applications Library by adding compatibility with the Thread Group's Internet Protocol (IP) networking stack and its IP underpinnings to the ZigBee Alliance's comprehensive solutions for the wireless IoT. The goal is to release a complete solution, including an end-to-end certification program, during the third quarter of 2016 that meets the market's desire for IP-based, low-power radio frequency communications in the Smart Home and other IoT markets.

As Thread Group continues to evolve and grow, we have updated the website to provide a more informative experience to users. The homepage now features banners across the top with audience icons below so users can more easily and quickly access relevant information and resources. We're in theprocess of updating additional sections of the website for completion in March.

| We are excited as we move into 2016 to host our first All Members Meeting, March 22-24 at the Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City, CA. We will have guest speakers from the ZigBee Alliance and OIC speaking about their relationship with Thread and future industry trends.
