| As Q2 2018 comes to a close and we return from a very successful Austin Members Meeting, Thread continues to prove its strength as a low power, wireless networking technology that solves real use cases and product challenges in the home and commercial markets - Here And Now. At the same time, more organizations are reinforcing their commitment to the Thread technology and Thread Group. |

Adoption
While there are many messages found in the marketplace about solutions for connecting devices in the Internet of Things, you will find an increasing number of them using Thread - Here And Now. A shining example is from our new Contributor member, Particle.io, highlighting their up-and-coming Thread-based Particle Mesh end-to-end developer ecosystem and platform via a recently-completed Thread case study.
Thread is proud to announce its first certified border router - Here And Now. D-Link has recently completed Thread certification of their Thread Border Router (DSH-G300-TBR). This Thread Border Router device enables connectivity and control of Thread End Devices from any supplier, enabling speed to market and Thread Eco-System deployment.
Finally, we would like to congratulate our members who worked hard behind the scenes, as part of the OpenAIS lighting initiative, to create a very real and compelling IPv6-based, local-control lighting project at the Witte Dame in Eindhoven, the Netherlands that utilized our upcoming Thread Commercial Extensions work. IPv6-based lighting and lighting controls with Thread are Here And Now.
Leadership
Thread group members Siemens and Particle.io recently strengthened their commitment to the Thread Group and Thread technology. Siemens has increased their support from Contributor to Sponsor, joining the Board to help drive Thread's expansion into enterprise and commercial markets, with Klaus Wächter as Siemens' primary board member. The Board is excited to have Siemens' and Klaus' engagement and deep insights into these markets. Likewise, Particle.io has increased its engagement, upgrading from Affiliate to Contributor on the pending launch of its exciting Thread-based end-to-end Particle Mesh developer ecosystem and platform.

| DOTDOT AND THREAD |
The Zigbee Alliance recently demonstrated a live Dotdot over Thread demo at Connections, held late May in San Francisco. Lux Technologies, MMB Networks, NXP Semiconductors and Volansys Technologies were the companies behind this demo. Dotdot is on schedule to be released in the fall.
