When evaluating where we should invest our resources, we all want the confidence it will provide great returns, whether that investment is a financial one, a technological one, or both. At the Thread Group, we appreciate the investment our members made in Thread for the future of their customers, products and overall business.

The first and foremost focus of the Thread Group is the delivery of the 1.1 specification and the incredibly valuable 1.1 test harness and certification program this summer. The arrival of this milestone generates a new wave of momentum for Thread and we're extremely excited to see the new components, products and applications that our member companies will create. We expect to see our efforts come to fruition early this fall with multiple "Thread-certified" interoperable stacks in the market.
On the subject of partnerships, ZigBee recently announced that they plan to support our Thread networking protocol with their ZigBee 3.0 Application Libraries and Thread will work with them on joint certification and branding. This is the first of many application layer partnerships, and we'll be presenting more details at our next member meeting. In addition, the Thread Group and The Connected Lighting Alliance (TCLA) have embarked on a collaboration to develop an open protocol solution for the network layer in indoor professional lighting applications, further reinforcing the demand for Thread's technology.
We're eager to continue our memberships' hard work and collaboration at the next All Members Meeting in July (Chicago, IL, US July 19-21).

| Q2 HIGHLIGHTS |
| |
- The Thread Group further bolstered its international footprint by adding France-based Schneider Electric to its board of directors.
- The Thread Group hosted its first Open House in Asia on May 10th, with more than 100 attendees at the event in Shanghai. The speakers demonstrated market collaboration affirming interest for Thread adoption. In addition, Thread strengthened its leadership position in the IoT market by participating in several speaking engagements at CES Asia, Informa IoT World 2016, Connected Conference, Computex CPX Conference and Smart Home World.
