| In May, the Thread Group selected Ubiant as its first Innovation Enabler Program winner. Recently, the Thread Group added Qualcomm to its Board of Directors, hired a Director of Certification, and released the Thread technical specifications to members. As a result of the Q2 PR outreach, Thread was included in more than 145 news articles. |

| INNOVATION ENABLER PROGRAM |

We had many great submissions for the Q2 period which made it very difficult to select just one winner. Congratulations to Amatis Controls and Elarm!
We were very excited with the quality and quantity of applications we had for the first two quarters of this program - so many great ideas and solutions that align with Thread! However, this does pose a challenge when selecting a winner so we have updated the submission process. In addition to the simple questions asked in the application, we also now require a 2 minute video pitch. The Q3 application is now available, please apply at http://threadgroup.org/InnovationProgram2.aspx. |

As you are undoubtedly aware we released the draft Thread Specification for review by all Thread Group members on July 13. In conjunction we released white papers characterizing the Thread Specification to the public. Press and industry response has been positive and enthusiastic and we expect to build on this important milestone in the months to come.
With our focus now on adoption and great customer experiences, we have hired Tom Sciorilli as Director of Certification. Tom will work closely with the Board and the various committees to launch a certification program during September this year. His previous work with the Wi-Fi Alliance in a similar capacity will be invaluable.
Our already vibrant ecosystem continues to rapidly expand. We are now more than 160 members, up from 105 in April. As importantly, we were excited to announce Qualcomm as a Sponsor Member. Qualcomm will also join the Board- which is now comprised of ARM, Big Ass Fans, Freescale, Nest Labs, Samsung, Silicon Labs, Somfy, Tyco, Yale and Qualcomm- and help us move our plans and programs forward.
The Innovation Enabler Program is well underway. This program is designed to give new companies with innovative ideas an opportunity for a free Thread Contributor membership with one company selected per quarter. We announced Ubiant as the Q1 winner and are now pleased to announce a tie for the Q2 award. Congratulations to Amatis Controls and Elarm! We're excited to see the Q3 submissions!
Finally, our last All Member Meeting for 2015 will be in Evian, France, November 18 and 19 so please keep that in mind if you're planning to join Thread.
