| With winter behind us, Thread has had much success to look back on including: closure of the 1.1 specification, expansion of the board to add Schneider Electric, continued membership growth, an extensive and valuable certification program close to release, and strong press coverage that continues to reinforce Thread as the leading foundational component for building IPv6-based products and solutions for the connected home. |

On the subject of partnerships, ZigBee recently announced that they plan to support our Thread networking protocol with their ZigBee 3.0 Application Libraries and Thread will work with them on joint certification and branding. This is the first of many application layer partnerships, and we'll be presenting more details at our next member meeting. In addition to the support of our members, much of Thread's success to date can be accredited to Chris Boross. His dedication as President over the last 18 months has played a key role in educating the industry about Thread technology. The Board of Directors, the membership, and I would like to thank him for all his hard work and dedication.
As the Thread Group's new President, I look forward to making sure the organization continues to build on this strong momentum with broader geographic adoption of Thread and marketplace delivery of Thread 1.1. In support of the former, creating a stronger international presence in Europe and Asia is a key initiative for 2016. In particular, on May 10, the Thread Group will host an open house in Shanghai, China, a first and key step in educating the region about Thread technology and initiatives.
If you're considering joining Thread Group, our next All Member Meeting is in July (Chicago, IL, US July 19-21). The Thread Board and I would love to meet you there.

| Q1 HIGHLIGHTS |
| |
- The Thread Group hosted their first All Members Meeting of 2016 in Redwood City, CA. The General Session was a full house with more than125 attendees and the working group meetings were collaborative and productive affirming interest for Thread adoption. In addition, Thread strengthened its leadership position in the IoT market by participating in Strategies In Light and the Wearable Tech Show, following multiple speaking engagements at CES 2016.

- As a result of Q1 PR outreach, Thread was featured in more than 50 news articles reaching more than 135 million people. See highlights on the Thread website under "In the News".
- As Thread continues to build visibility worldwide, be sure to attend and promote to your network the first Open House in Asia to be held May 10, in Shanghai, co-located with CES Asia. This event is open to the public.
- In April, the Thread Group presented Green Electronics LLC the Innovation Enabler Award which provides one year full Contributor level membership to a start-up company building innovative products which can benefit from Thread Group's technology.
